The Queen was accompanied by 48 maids in her marriage.
To offer all of them pleasurable moments this place was developed.
Maids and female companions used to come here for a stroll and spend their time in leisure with the queen.
But later on, Maharana Bhupal Singh had a pavilion of rain fountains built in the garden.
As per a few websites, it is said that the fountains were imported from England.
The garden became quite the favorite of the royal family, and now it stands as a famous tourist location in Udaipur after some additions by Maharana Bhupal Singh.
The lotus pond is possibly the main attraction of Saheliyon Ki Bari, given the beautifully sculpted elephants and the mesmerizing charm of the lotus leaves.
It is a very nice place to visit and relax in a different manner.

Tickets for Indians is 10 rupees/person.
For foreign visitors, it is 50 rupees/person.
