1. City Palace
Distance (From Udaipur City Railway Station): 3 Kms
Built on the banks of Lake Pichola, the City Palace in Udaipur is considered to be one of the biggest royal complex in Rajasthan. This fabulous palace was built in the year 1559 by Maharana Uday Singh. The Palace now has variety of Mahals, courtyards, corridors and hanging gardens. There is a museum here that showcases some of the finest elements of Rajput arts and culture – from colourful paintings to the trademark architecture found in Rajasthani palaces.The famous City Palace tends to be the magnet for tourists places.

2. Lake Pichola
Distance (From Udaipur City Railway Station): 2.5 Kms
Lake Pichola is a man-made artificial lake. Maharana Udai Singh founded the city of Udaipur, he saw the lake and was awestruck with its natural beauty and decided to extend the lake by building a dam made out of stone. The lake is famous for its small islands, temples and bathing ghats. The Jag Mandir is one of the oldest and one of the most intriguing palaces on the lake. The other magnificent palace here is the Jag Niwas which has been converted into a heritage hotel and is one-of-its-kind for its sheer magnificence.
Lake Pichola is situated beside the City Lake Palace in Udaipur.

3. Lake Palace.
Distance (From Udaipur City Railway Station): 4 Kms
vision in marble, Lake Palace in Udaipur is spectacular. The exquisite monument floats in the cerulean waters of Pichola Lake. Built of white marble, the architectural marvel is beyond words. It looks like a dream set at the wonderful backdrop of the Aravallis.Now known as the Taj Lake Palace, it is one of the premier heritage hotels in India. The palace has heritage, breathtaking beauty and the indulgences of one of the most luxurious hotels in the country.
Lake Palace has a series of courtyards that are aligned with numerous columns, terraces, beautiful fountains and well laid gardens. The walls made of black and white marbles are adorned by semi-precious stones and ornamented niches. Lake Palace also comprises several rooms by the name of Bada Mahal, Khush Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Phool Mahal and Dhola Mahal that add to the beauty of graceful palace. These exotic rooms are decked with carved arches, paintings, crystal work, stained glass work, inland stones of pink and green lotus leaves.
4. Fateh Sagar Lake.
Distance (From Udaipur City Railway Station): 6 Kms
Lying to the north-west of Udaipur, Fateh Sagar Lake is a sparkling lake which is one of the major tourist spots in the city. Surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, it is the second largest artificial lake in the city and is known for its pleasing beauty. One can easily go around the circumference of the Fateh Sagar Lake by driving on the Moti Magri Road and get a beautiful view of the entire lake. You can also try boating and a number of other water sports that are available here for the tourists.
5. Jag Mandir
Distance (From Udaipur City Railway Station): 3.5 Kms
A 17th century structure that stands gloriously amidst Lake Pichola on the Jagmandir Island, Jag Mandir is an excellent place to visit on Udaipur tour.When lit up at night it has more romantic sparkle to it than the Lake Palace. As well as the seven hotel rooms, the island has a restaurant, bar and spa, which are open to visitors. It is a three-storied structure and includes sections like Gul Mahal, an elegant façade, a Garden Courtyard and the Darikhana on its northern side, the Bara Patharon ka Mahal (palace of the 12 stones), the Zenana Mahal – a southern extension to the Gul Mahal and the Kunwar Pada ka Mahal. During the boat ride on Lake Pichola, a lot of tourists make sure that they visit this beautiful place.
